A Blog For an Art Exhibition?

Among the principal ideas behind Vision/Voice/Plan: Salina is for the exhibition to exist both inside and outside of the gallery. As the process included discussion seminars several months prior to exhibition, the next phase continues the conversation throughout the show in another form: each week for the duration of Vision/Voice/Plan: Salina, I will post a new topic on Salina's future development that was brought to my attention during the Fall seminars.

Please return often to post responses--also seen inside the gallery via the computer in the exhibition-- and keep the party going in a truly 21st Century way.

Art exhibitions offer a multitude of ideas worthy of reflection and discussion---possibly worthy of action as well. They're an excellent pathway to conversations with a wide circle of thinkers. In addition, we are challenged to move beyond our personal insularity and "stand pat" tendencies, as demonstrated by the fact that I'm a 66-year-old first-time blog participant.

I think the structure of your display as the visual embodiment of a community's thoughts is a great idea. The blocks are a quick and easy way to see what we think. The artist Chris Jordan explores our culture's consumption in digitally constructed photographs. I am attaching a link to some great examples for further reflection.
